Vintage MCM Ernest Sohn Stainless + Wood Chafing Dish Set
Ernest Sohn Mid Century Modern Chafing Dish Set in near mint condition. This vintage stainless steel and dark wood set includes 1 pan, 1 liner, 1 lid for the pan with wood knob, 1 stand with stainless and wood legs and alcohol burner system (1 alcohol burner bowl, 1 control cover with wood knob and 1 snuffer.) 7 pieces total.
LABEL: Orenson Manufacturing Co "M" logo stamped on bottom of pan
CONDITION: Excellent vintage condition. Stainless steel is mirrorlike and only has light scratches on the inside of the pan as seen in photos.
MATERIALS: Stainless Steel, Wood.
MEASUREMENTS: 15.5" Overall Length including the handle, 10" W 12" Overall H
FUN FACT: Sohn was a successful mid century modern designer of what he called ‘useful and decorative home accessories’ that were produced by a number of manufacturing partners. His modern houseware creations have been on exhibition at the NY Museum of Modern Art alongside legendary MCM designers Charles Eames, Finn Juhl, Folke Ohlsson, and George Nelson.
