This vibrant 1980 original painting is by New Zealand artist Marjorie W. Parkyn. It depicts Takapuna Beach in New Zealand, part of the Takapuna Reef Fossil Forest, one of the best examples in the world of a lava preserved fossil forest. The colors are stunning in person and photos don’t quite do it justice. The painting is on a beveled board mounted to the front of a mat board with a slightly irridescent greige frame. In excellent vintage condition. Signed on verso with note to original owners of painting
